Pros and cons of bet365 odds for SailGP races

SailGP Grand Prix in Portsmouth: What you need to know

This is hands down one of the most exciting competitions I’ve followed, featuring 12 international teams racing in 50-foot foiling catamarans that can reach blistering speeds of up to 60 mph.

Each Grand Prix includes 4 to 6 fleet races, each lasting around 15 minutes. Teams compete for points in each race, and the top three move on to the final. After every fleet race, a leaderboard is updated: the winner gets 10 points, with each subsequent position getting one point less. The three teams with the most points qualify for the Grand Prix final.

But here’s the twist: in the final, scores are reset, and the winner-takes-all format means the most consistent team can still lose everything in the final showdown. It adds drama, unpredictability, and keeps fans on the edge of their seats.

Emirates Great Britain Sail Grand Prix

This is the big one; this weekend’s main event is grabbing the attention of punters as it marks the first SailGP stop of this scale in the UK since 2022.

It’s the seventh stop on the 2025 Rolex SailGP circuit, and 12 national teams, including some major names in British sailing, will go head-to-head in identical F50s on the Solent.

Expect a weekend of high-speed action that’s sure to captivate fans and win over plenty of new ones. These cutting-edge boats can hit up to 60 mph, and we’ll likely see some bold manoeuvres from the sport’s top sailors.

The Portsmouth Grand Prix presents great betting opportunities, whether you’re a casual fan or a seasoned bettor. Sites like bet365 offer markets that range from outright winners to detailed in-play betting options.
