Carabao Cup Free Bet Offers for Saturday’s First Round Ties on August 8th

August 7, 2026
par Emma Harrison
It’s early August, and that means competitive football returns to English grounds, as well as free bet offers for new customers at the biggest bookmakers. It’s Carabao Cup time, and a return to action for clubs below the Premier League.

Yes, now is the time that West Ham, Wolves, and Burnley get to grips with May’s relegation agony, starting their season a full fortnight ahead of their more fortunate former counterparts. And it’s a chance to see if those reshaped squads are ready for a long season – and for you to place some bets on whether or not they are.

What are the standout matches of the weekend?

Saturday’s slate of fixtures sees West Ham welcoming Portsmouth to the London Stadium. Nuno’s men are strongly backed on UK betting sites to regain top-flight status at the first attempt, and this will be a chance to see how realistic those ambitions are. Fellow relegatees Burnley host Notts County, which on the face of it will be a winnable tie. Among the handful of all-Championship ties, QPR will play out a London derby at Loftus Road against Millwall, whose promotion bid fell flat at the playoff stage, and whose hopes of going one better this time around will be followed closely by UK bettors.

Best Carabao Cup free bet offers

A new season means the chance to bet on domestic football once again, and some of the top native bookmakers have UK betting promotions for new bettors to test out their expectations for the 2026/27 season.
